From working in the boom days of UK mobile communication networks in the early nineties to a leadership position with Apple Design Team in the twenty twenties, Colin reflects on the fruits of his work in design and innovation. He unpacks the patterns he’s observed in organisational structure, innovation methods and colleague behaviours over his 40 years career.

About Colin Burns

Colin is a creative leader and design manager, with over 30 years working in multi-disciplinary teams. With a training in Industrial Design and working in Interaction Design, he has been part of a number of storied creative organisations across a wide range of industries, including Technology, Media, FMCG and Retail. His perspectives on making the most of the resources that organisations have for innovation have been shaped by working with organisations like, Apple, BBC, IDEO, British Airways, Prada, ASDA, Procter & Gamble, Unilever and Hewlett Packard.
