Dama is a leading figure in the tech for good movement advocating for more investment in talented and diverse founders in the space. At BGV, she leads on deal flow, engages in the wider ecosystem supporting diverse founders and better policy for impact and tech for good investing, and specialises in supporting ventures with communications and fundraising, responsible product positioning, ESG, impact measurement and management, and more. Prior to BGV, Dama worked for international NGOs advocating for better human rights practices in global development and humanitarian response.
She was formerly a Director of a social enterprise and held Trustee positions for non-profit organisations, supporting them to raise institutional funding and secure commercial partnerships for their tech products and services. Dama's educational background is in international relations and human rights. She has a degree in international relations from Leiden University, holds a certificate in ESG Investing awarded by the CFA Institute, and sits on the steering committee of VentureESG, the largest VC and LP community stewarding better ESG practices across funds.
