Brian Corcoran: Let me introduce your 2025 Speakers

Wednesday, January 22nd:

As anyone who has attended the conference before can tell you, we have a very high bar for speakers at Turing Fest. So the bar to be invited back to speak again at TF is exceptionally high!

I am delighted to welcome the first of many Turing Fest 2025 Speakers and to introduce you, starting with an old friend:

Jonny Brooks-Bartlett, Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Spotify

In my experience, nobody makes talks on data science, ML, and AI as fun and entertaining as Jonny Brooks-Bartlett! An Oxford PhD in Mathematical Biology, JBB is a data scientist turned engineer and has been a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Spotify for the past 4 years, following on from a couple of years in Deliveroo’s data science team.

He’s spoken at TF previously and I can honestly say that Jonny is genuinely one of my favourite alumni speakers: an absolutely delightful person with deep expertise in ML & AI – and a brilliant, passionate communicator and teacher. It is no surprise he is one of our all-time audience favourites – and I am delighted he will be making his third appearance on our stage this May.

Jonny spoke in 2019 and again in 2022, and knocked it out of the park both times. In his first appearance, he showed us how and why Deliveroo used algorithms to rank restaurants for individual users; the next was about how his team at Spotify uses ML to improve search in the app. Both were huge hits with the audience – you can check them out here and here.

Radhika Dutt, Author, Radical Product Thinking

One of the most respected product thinkers in the field, Radhika Dutt is making her first appearance at TF this year. We’ve been trying to bring her over from Boston for a couple of years, and this year the dates finally aligned!

An MIT engineering alum, Radhika is a celebrated entrepreneur, product leader, and author. Having built products in industries including broadcasting, media and entertainment, advertising technology, government, consumer apps, wine and robotics, she also been through four acquisitions – two of which were companies that she founded.

Radhika’s first book “Radical Product Thinking: The New Mindset for Innovating Smarter” evolved from a framework she developed to help organizations systematically build world-changing products. Today Radical Product Thinking has been adopted by organizations around the world including startups, multinationals, nonprofits, and government agencies

She is working on her next book – and will explore some of the themes involved in her TF25 presentation, entitled: “Radically Rethinking Metrics: How goal-setting and OKRs are harmful and what to do instead”. I know some people swear by OKRs – but personally I know a lot more who are really sick of them, and want to find a better way. No matter which camp you are in, I’ll bet you will walk away from Radhika’s talk with a powerful alternative view to consider!

Sara Gordon, GM in Consumer Health, Zoe

Sara was the top rated speaker at TURING x SYSTM last November and trust me: she’s amazing at what she does. Sara is the go-to-market expert who’s helped scale Bloom & Wild, and she was a huge part of Flo Health becoming a unicorn.

Sara was the top rated speaker at TURING x SYSTM last November and trust me: she’s amazing. Sara is the go-to-market expert who’s helped scale Bloom & Wild, and she was a huge part of Flo Health becoming a unicorn.

Now she’s the Global GM at ZOE Health (who has to date raised over £100 million!) works with Series A and later-stage businesses, diving into customer insights, creative strategies, and messaging to fuel their growth. We’re excited to have her on stage at TF this year. She’s got this incredible ability to tie together marketing and product strategy in a way that just works. She’s one of those people who makes big things happen
